rip david james lees 28/10/06 aged 23 david was a self employed brick cleaner,who lived in manchester.david left behind his mum anne dad don sister donna and a brother john he is reunited with his late brother paul who also died on 22/08/06,he is much missed by his lpoving girlfriengd brookeand his niece and nephew and brother in laws and all his aunts uncles cousins and many many friends.david was killedwhen he was deliberately ran over by a car of heartless thugs.david was the life and soul of our family he was a fun loving character always happy and content he adored his family and friends he loved life just as much, living each day as though it was his lastdavid means the world to me and my family we cannot believe that we have got to go through life without him and his cheeky grin and wicked sense of humour ,he was the molst kind and caring man anybody could wish for miss you love you will never forgive those who took you away from us good nite god bless bro xxxx

A new angel friend has joined you
Another one of your friends has come to join you on the same date that my Teddy left to join you last year Oct 25th. Hope you and Teddy were there to meet Mark Abbott one of Teddy's friends and I'm sure you must know him also Leezy.

Hope you don't mind me leaving a message on here but i visit this site every day to speak to my son Teddy who you may know or heard of.
Teddy and David 'Leesy' knew each other - they were both born on the same day April 13th 1983 in Crumpsall hospital and when Leesy was taken to heaven Teddy was diagnosed with cancer. Teddy said to me 'mum do you think i'm going to die too, cos we was both born on the same day and now i've got cancer' I convinced Ted that he'd be ok but he too was taken near enough a year to the day after leesy, Ted went on Oct 25th 2007.
I sometimes visit Leesy and his brother at the grave because I'm in the cemetry every day before I head into work visiting Teddy who is also buried there (Teddy is buried on the side near the woods), one day I met one of Leesy best friends at teds grave and he told me the full story about Leesy because he was there when Leesy was ploughed down, it is so so tragic and another day I met a bloke from crumpsall that was looking for Leesy resting place but found himself at Ted's instead, this bloke had made a trip to cemetry on foot after he'd had a run in with some young asian guys and he thought of Leesy, he didn't know him personally but had heard all about it on the news etc
Anyway I wanted to send everyone who knows and loves David James Lee some healing and love. Teddy is also on here if you want to look at his page.

MY SPEACH AT THE FUNERAL
Theres nothing we can say or do to describe this day. We shouldn’t be here that’s for sure. Why David, why leesy it doesn’t sound real it doesn’t feel real. One day we’re going to have to find away to accept this but I don’t think many of us will be able to. I wonder to this day an beyond how will his family ever recover, how will poor Brooke get through this. After Little pauly left us and went to heaven that was enough but still didn’t feel right, but at least we no one thing for sure that there both together now driving each other mad.
Leesy was a person who made you smile, his cheeky little Grin, his moody ways, his company all ways made you feel happy. Just knowing when Dave was out with the lads you was always gonna have a good time and a laugh. He was always full of suprises, if it wasn’t a phone call at 8 on a Sunday morning “I’m still drinkin, Brooke’s gonna batter me” it would be in the Pub sat on the toilet telling us to pass him some toilet roll. He was always known and proud of his number 2’s funnily enough but the aftermath was un Hurrendous. How he ate so much food I’l never no, I use to get jelous when he had his KFC on Saturdays and he’d wind me up cos he knew deeply how I felt about chicken. I took it to heart a few times.
Growing up with leesy was an experience, we was as bad as each other but I’d say he was the naughtiest. I’l never forget the time we was 7 an 8 and Annie Apple was minding us because we was on school holidays. We thought it would be a good idea to Sneak off out the Garden when Annie went in the house and go for a swim in the River Irk. Never again would I cross Annie apple. The look on her face when she finally found us hours later with the whole of Glenbrook Road still lives with me to this day. She’s only small but she can scare daylights out of you.
Dave was everyones best friend, he was very popular to his friends and there’s not one bad word someone could say about him, he was a very proud lad with a strong loving heart and done his best for his family by assuring his mum and dad everything will be ok.
Davids love and friendship to all his friends will be greatly missed, it will take apart of us with him because no matter what he will never be forgotton. His talent as a person was brilliant, if it wasn’t on the football pitch loosin his temper it would be his favourite Bright green aluminous Ben Shermin shirt he use to hang out the window with and said do you think I’l get in 21’s with this one, and the lads would be rum and say course you will Leesy! He’l be going mad now because I told everyone about his best shirt.
Everyone loved leesy and our memories of him will live with us forever. There was so many people who wanted to have a say today but you’l no in yourself how much he meant to you alone. I just want to mention some of davids friends for the love and support were all here to give to his family and young Brooke: MARK, ALAN, RYAN, KIETH, STE, LEE, BARTON, PADDY, WAZZA, MACCA, KYLE, KEV, BROWNEY, WODGE, JP, DEAN, MATTY, HALIDAY, BARKER, OGDEN, WILSON, DAWN, SHEFFY, SANDY, JADE, STACEY, NICOLA, SHIVON, KELLY, VICKY and theres so many more I don’t think I’ve got time because I could go on all day.
Finally nothing we can do to bring him back but he’l always be here in our hearts and by our side when we need him. Anne and Don, Donna and Dean, Helen and paddy, Marc and Jon Calumn and Shannon, Brooke, Joanne an Wayne and the rest of the family, our thoughts and feelings will be with you all forever. You will all always remind us of Dave and Pauly and havin that prvilage to bein apart of there lives will always be a great honour.
We’l always love you all , we’l never forget your boys our friendS and the happiness they brought to each and everyone of us.
What goes around will no matter what come around. That Bastard will one day be caught and justice will be done I no it, it may take months it may take years but the truth always comes out and not one of us will ever let it lye.
To all leesy’s mates, Dave wouldn’t want anyone of us to get hurt, to get in to trouble for the sake of your loved ones and your self pride. By walking away from trouble will make you more of a man an you’l be the winner.
David we’l love you, we’l never forget you and we’l look after your family and each other. Rip peace mate goodbye…………
